On October 12, 2022, the United Arab Emirates (UAE)’s Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) launched the 5G Roles in Industry Digitalization in the UAE at the GITEX GLOBAL 2022 in Dubai. The white paper was led by the UAE’s TDRA, and jointly researched by China Academy of Information and Communication Technology (CAICT), Khalifa University, and Emirates ICT Innovation Center.

The white paper introduces the 5G application practices in major countries and regions worldwide, especially draws on some experiences of 5G application in China, and puts forward the promotion path and development suggestions of UAE’s 5G industrial application in combination with the development of UAE’s 5G network and the needs of industry digital transformation.

The release of the white paper has enhanced the international influence of CAICT as a specialized think tank. CAICT will continue to promote global digital transformation, and make its own contribution to bring Chinese experiences in 5G to the world, and to the development of the Belt and Road.
