CAICT Releases Report on Data and Smart Applications for Epidemic Prevention and Control

  

  With the outbreak of the COVID-19 in China, Chinese President Xi Jinping put an emphasis on “encouraging the use of digital technologies such as big data, artificial intelligence (AI), and cloud computing to better support epidemic monitoring and analysis, virus attribution, epidemic prevention, control and treatment, and resource allocation.”

  In response to the national call, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) has given full play to its research advantages of the ICT industry. CAICT, cooperated with Baidu, Alibaba Cloud, JD Cloud, China Unicom Big Data (CUBD), China Telecom Corporation Limited Cloud Computing Branch Corporation, China Mobile Beijing Branch (Beijing Mobile) and many other tech companies, released the Research Report on Data and Smart Applications for Epidemic Prevention and Control (Version 1.0). The Report makes a systematic analysis of more than 200 cases on big data and data-driven intelligent applications during the epidemic prevention and control period from more than 100 Chinese companies.

  We call on more partners to join together and give full play to the important role of data and intelligence in the prevention and control of the epidemic, with determination to fight and win the battle against the epidemic.
