Abstract
The White Paper is the third white paper on big data published by CAICT after the White Paper on Big Data (2014) and the White Paper on Big Data (2016). On the basis of the previous two, the White Paper introduces the latest development dynamics and achievements on big data in China. It explains technological development and industrial application of big data, discusses the key issue of using big data to improve governance ability of government and tracks the latest practice and trend on the data law and regulation system and the development of local big data industry, with focus put on the latest achievement in China. At last, in light of the latest status of and problems arising in the big data development in China, the White Paper proposes strategic advices to promote big data development.
