  The East China Institute of Telecommunications in Shanghai (ECIT), also named the East Institute of CAICT (hereinafter referred to as the “East Institute”), was established by CAICT, Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Information, and Shanghai Huangpu District Government and started operation at the end of 2011. The first stage of ECIT covers an area of 3,800 square meters, with a total construction investment of about RMB100 million.

  Its testing scope mainly includes mobile phones operating in 2G, 3G and LTE modes and various wireless terminal products. Its testing capabilities cover RF, protocol, voice frequency, service application, EMC, safety, EMR, OTA, environment reliability and other technologies. At present, it is the only lab with complete LTE testing capability in East China. 

  The East Institute has senior industrial experts and experienced testing teams, and is committed to providing customers with one-stop service for various international certification and testing applications, such as CTIA, PTCRB, GCF, CE, FCC, A-TICK, IC and operator admittance, as well as with CTA-certified comprehensive pre-testing service.

  In order to help customers enter into the international market, the East Institute provides a special service of different countries’ operators-based customized testing and certification, with which it can conduct multiple operators’ customized testing including SoftBank, DoCoMo and AT&T.

  ECIT is a testing institution, a high-level certification body, as well as the largest mobile communications testing and experimental base in East China.
